How to Draw a Ribbon Bow
Draw a ribbon bow in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the knot.
Step 1: The knot
In the middle of your paper, a little high, draw a rounded box, a bit wider than it is tall.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Near the top of the knot draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a tiny oval cheek beside each end of it.
Step 4: The left loop
From the top left of the knot draw a big round loop out left, back to the bottom left.
Tip Big loops make a happy bow.
Step 5: The right loop
From the top right of the knot draw the same big loop out right, back to the bottom right.
Step 6: Two wavy tails
From under the knot draw 2 short wavy ribbon tails hanging down and apart, each with a V notch.
Step 7: Ribbon creases
Inside each loop draw 2 soft curved lines from the knot out toward the loop's edge.
Step 8: Four sparkles
Draw 4 little sparkle stars around the bow, 2 up high and 2 lower down.
Step 9: Yellow and pink
Colour the 4 sparkles yellow and the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 10: Red ribbon
Colour the loops, knot and tails red, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your bow is ready!
