How to Draw Salt
Draw salt in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cap.
Step 1: The cap
Above the middle draw the cap: a short line up, a rounded dome over the top, a short line down.
Step 2: The glass shaker
From the cap's left end curve out to a round shoulder, down the side, across the bottom, and back up.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Below the shoulders draw 2 big egg eyes an eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Draw a U smile from under the left eye to the right eye. Add a small cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Rim and holes
Draw a line across the cap below the dome for the rim. Dot 5 little holes in the dome.
Step 6: Salt level
Under the cheeks draw a wavy line across the shaker from side to side, for the top of the salt.
Step 7: The label
Under the wavy line draw a flat oval label in the middle. Inside it write SALT in tall block letters.
Step 8: A shine
Just inside the left shoulder, draw one short curved line for a shine. Stop well above the eye.
Step 9: The table
Draw a table line under the shaker, from well left of it to well right of it.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 11: Sky glass, white salt
Colour the glass above the wavy line sky blue, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes and the salt white.
Step 12: Grey cap
Colour the cap grey, leaving the holes black, and your salt shaker is done!
