How to Draw a Reporter
Draw a reporter in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head draw 2 small oval eyes, a tiny nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Bob hair
Draw hair over the head with a curved fringe. Add a bob straight down each side to the jaw.
Step 4: Neck and blazer
Draw 2 neck lines. From them draw a blazer with round shoulders, down to the hips. Add 2 V lapels.
Step 5: Long sleeves
From each shoulder draw a long sleeve down to a cuff. Bend the left one in at the elbow.
Tip Rub out the blazer lines inside the sleeves.
Step 6: Mitten hands
On the right cuff draw a mitten hanging down. On the left cuff draw a mitten pointing in.
Step 7: Microphone
From the left fist draw 2 close lines straight up, stopping at a round ball. Add a curve across it.
Step 8: Press badge
On the right side of the blazer draw a small card badge below the lapel.
Step 9: Trousers, shoes and ground
From the blazer hem draw 2 trouser legs down to the ankles. Add shoes, toes out, and a ground line.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink, then the face, neck and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Red blazer, brown hair
Colour the blazer and sleeves red, around the microphone. Leave the badge and top white. Colour the hair brown.
Step 12: Grey microphone, black trousers
Colour the microphone ball grey. Colour the handle, trousers and shoes black, around the arm. Go over your lines. Done!
