How to Draw a Skeleton
Draw a skeleton in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: skull head.
Step 1: Skull head
Near the top, draw a skull head: a round dome, tucked in at the cheeks, with a narrower jaw.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: Skull face
Across the middle, draw 2 big round eyes. Add a triangle nose hole, a wide smile and 3 tooth lines.
Step 3: Neck and suit
Add 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left one, draw a boxy top with short sleeves, ending right.
Step 4: Ribs
Draw a spine line down the middle of the suit. On each side, draw 3 curved ribs bowing out.
Step 5: Arms
From each short sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, narrower at the bottom.
Step 6: Mitten hands
At the bottom of each sleeve, draw a round mitten hand with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 7: Arm bones
Down each arm, draw a long thin bone with a round knob at each end, from sleeve to wrist.
Step 8: Trousers
Start at the bottom left of the top. Draw 2 long trouser legs, a point between them, ending bottom right.
Step 9: Leg bones
Down each trouser leg, draw a bone like the arm bones, from the hip to the ankle.
Step 10: Shoes and ground
Under each leg, draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 11: White skull and bones
Leave the skull, hands, bones, ribs and spine white. Go over their lines so they stand out.
Tip Leave the eyes white too.
Step 12: Black suit
Colour the suit, arms, trousers and shoes black, around the white bones and ribs. Your skeleton is done!
