How to Draw a Reindeer Calf
Draw a reindeer calf in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Near the top left, draw a big round head, a little taller than wide. Leave room for the body.
Tip A big head is what makes it cute.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big oval eyes and a triangle nose. From its tip, draw a line down to a w smile.
Step 3: Antlers and ears
On top of the head, draw 2 curved baby antlers, each with 2 short branches. Add leaf ears.
Step 4: The neck
From the right cheek and the chin, draw 2 neck lines slanting down right. Stop just below the chin.
Step 5: Bean body
Start at the neck. Draw a long back, a big round bottom, and the tummy back up to the neck.
Tip A bean, not a loaf: the bottom is rounder than the chest.
Step 6: Two legs
Draw a ground line. From the chest, draw a leg down to it. Add a back leg from the bottom.
Step 7: Far legs
From the tummy behind the front leg, draw a thinner leg down to the ground. Same by the back leg.
Step 8: The tail
On the top corner of the bottom, draw a little leaf tail pointing up and back, like a small flag.
Step 9: Sand and peach
Go over your lines, then colour the antlers sand and the ear insides peach.
Step 10: Brown fur, grey hooves
Colour the head, ears, body, legs and tail light brown, around the ear insides, and the hooves dark grey.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
