How to Draw a Vinyl Record
Draw a vinyl record in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the disc.
Step 1: The disc
In the middle of your paper draw 1 big round circle, nearly as wide as the page.
Step 2: The label
In the middle of the disc draw a smaller circle for the label, with a tiny hole below its middle.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the label, above the hole, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the hole draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Grooves
Draw 2 rings round the label, the second a finger outside the first.
Step 6: Last groove
Draw 1 more ring a finger outside the last, leaving a band of disc round the edge.
Step 7: Shine
In the wide band round the top left edge draw 2 thin banana shines, one longer than the other.
Step 8: Music notes
Draw a music note on each side above the record: a small tilted oval with a stem and a flag.
Step 9: Ground
Draw a ground line under the record from left to right, touching its bottom.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, yellow notes
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the note heads yellow.
Step 11: Red label
Colour the label red around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white and colour the hole black.
Step 12: Dark grey disc
Colour the rest of the disc dark grey around the label, leaving the shines white. Ready to spin!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a vinyl record, drawn by you.
