How to Draw a Receipt
Draw a receipt in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the paper strip.
Step 1: The paper strip
In the middle of your paper draw a tall strip with straight sides and a torn zigzag across the bottom.
Step 2: Two big eyes
A little above the middle of the strip draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The shop line
A finger under the top, draw a line across the strip from edge to edge, for the shop's name band.
Step 5: Lines of writing
Under the band draw 3 short lines across, one under the other, each a different length, like rows of writing.
Step 6: Prices
Under the face draw 2 more lines of writing, with 2 little dots at the right end for prices.
Step 7: The total
Near the bottom draw a long line across the strip, and another a finger under it, for the total.
Step 8: A coin and ground
Beside the bottom right draw a round coin with a smaller circle inside. Draw a ground line under everything.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a sparkle star on each side of the top of the receipt.
Step 10: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Leave the eyes white, and colour the coin and sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Cream paper, blue band
Colour the paper cream around the eyes and cheeks, and the shop band sky blue. Your receipt is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a receipt, drawn by you.
