How to Draw a Deer Skull
Draw a deer skull in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: long skull.
Step 1: Long skull
Draw a long skull: flat on top, bulging at the sides, then narrowing down to a round nose end.
Tip Leave lots of room above it for the antlers.
Step 2: Eye holes
Where the skull is widest, draw 2 big egg-shaped eye holes, one on each side.
Tip Keep them inside the outline, with a gap all round.
Step 3: Two antlers
On top of the skull, draw 2 thick antlers. Each curves out, then up to a thin round tip.
Tip Each antler starts wide on the skull and gets thinner.
Step 4: Antler points
On top of each antler, draw 2 more points standing straight up, with round tips.
Tip That makes 3 points on each antler.
Step 5: Nose hole
Near the bottom of the skull, draw a tall heart for the nose hole.
Tip Keep the heart in the middle, with bone all round it.
Step 6: Cheekbones
Under each eye hole, draw a short curve from the edge of the skull in towards the nose hole.
Step 7: A crack
From the top edge of the skull, zigzag a small crack down. Stop above the eye holes.
Tip Old bones get little cracks.
Step 8: Ground line
Under the nose end, draw a straight ground line that sticks out past the skull on both sides.
Step 9: Sand skull
Go over your lines. Colour the skull sand, around the eye holes and the nose hole.
Step 10: Brown antlers
Colour both antlers brown, all the way up to the tips.
Step 11: Black holes
Colour the 2 eye holes and the nose hole black. Your deer skull is done!
