How to Draw Raising a Hand in Class
Draw raising a hand in class in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
A little above the middle of your paper draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip The desk comes up to the tummy and the chalkboard hangs behind.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 small eyes, a nose and a smile. Add 2 C ears, each starting and ending on the head.
Step 3: Soft hair cap
Start left, above the eyes. Draw round tufts over the top, down to the right. Add a hairline curve across.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a T-shirt round to the right one, right sleeve pointing up.
Step 5: Arms
Left arm: from the sleeve down to the wrist. Right arm: out to an elbow, then up beside the head.
Tip The raised hand reaches high beside the head, never in front of the face.
Step 6: Hands
On the left wrist draw a fist. On the right wrist draw an open hand: 4 fingers and a thumb.
Step 7: The chalkboard
Behind the kid draw a big framed chalkboard. Write ABC on it, left of the head.
Step 8: Desk, book, pencil, ground
Draw a desk at tummy height, with sides from its ends down to the ground. Add a book and pencil.
Tip The desk hides the kid's legs.
Step 9: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck, ears, arms and hands peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Yellow pencil, blue shirt
Colour the pencil yellow and the T-shirt blue.
Step 11: Red book, wooden desk
Colour the book cover red, leaving the pages white. Colour the desk and board frame wood brown, around the kid.
Step 12: Brown hair, green board
Colour the hair brown and the chalkboard green, around the kid.
