How to Draw a Raisin
Draw a raisin in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the raisin.
Step 1: The raisin
In the middle draw a big wide oval, wider than tall, with a soft wavy edge and a few dips.
Tip The right end comes to a soft point.
Step 2: Tiny stalk
On the pointed right end draw a tiny stalk stub, like a short peg.
Tip This is where the grape hung on the vine.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving 2 white shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, with a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Long folds
From the top left dip draw a long wavy fold above the eyes. Draw one below the smile too.
Tip Long deep folds make a grape into a raisin. Stop each one before it reaches the other end.
Step 6: End folds
From a dip at each end draw a shorter wavy fold curving beside the face.
Tip Keep every fold away from the face.
Step 7: A little raisin
Down on the left draw a small wavy oval lying down, with a tiny stalk and 2 long folds.
Step 8: Another little raisin
Down on the right draw one more small wavy oval, tilted, with a tiny stalk and 2 long folds.
Step 9: The ground
Draw the ground line from side to side, just touching the bottoms of all 3 raisins.
Tip Use a ruler if you like.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, brown stalks
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the 3 tiny stalks brown.
Step 11: Dark purple raisin
Colour the big raisin dark purple around the pink cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
Tip Press hard: a raisin is much darker than a grape.
Step 12: Dark little raisins
Colour the two little raisins dark purple too, and your raisin is done!
