How to Draw a Cobbler
Draw a cobbler in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: dish top.
Step 1: Dish top
In the middle of your paper draw a big wide oval. This is the top of the baking dish.
Step 2: Thick rim
Draw a smaller oval just inside the first one, so the dish has a thick rim.
Step 3: The dish
From the oval's left end draw a slanted line down, a flat bottom, and a slanted line back up.
Tip A baking dish is wide at the top and smaller at the bottom.
Step 4: Middle biscuits
Inside the dish draw 3 round biscuit lumps in a row across the middle, with gaps between them.
Tip A cobbler is baked fruit with soft biscuit lumps on top.
Step 5: Back biscuits
Behind them draw 2 more lumps, each sitting above a gap in the middle row.
Step 6: Front biscuits
In front draw 2 more lumps to match, each below a gap in the middle row.
Step 7: Berries
Draw 6 little round berries in the gaps: one at the back, one at the front and 2 each side.
Step 8: Steam
Above the dish draw 3 wiggly steam lines going up. Start each one just above the rim.
Step 9: Table
Start near the left edge. Draw a straight line touching the bottom of the dish. Stop near the right edge.
Step 10: Tan biscuits
Colour all 7 biscuit lumps tan. Leave the berries and the gaps for later.
Step 11: Blue dish
Colour the dish and its thick rim light blue.
Step 12: Purple filling
Go over your lines. Colour the filling purple, around the lumps and berries. Then colour the 6 berries dark blue.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a cobbler, drawn by you.
