How to Draw a Raindrop
Draw a raindrop in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big drop.
Step 1: The big drop
In the middle of your paper draw a big raindrop as tall as your hand. Pointy on top, round below.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the round part of the drop draw 2 big egg eyes, side by side.
Step 3: Black dots
Colour a big black dot in each eye. Leave a tiny white spot at the top.
Step 4: A big smile
Leave a gap under the eyes. Draw a wide U smile from under the left eye to under the right.
Step 5: A shine
Start just inside the left edge, where the drop gets round. Draw a short curve up beside the edge.
Step 6: Two little drops
Either side of the big drop draw a small raindrop the same way. The right one is a little higher.
Step 7: A puddle
A little way under the drop draw a long flat oval for the puddle, a little wider than the drop.
Step 8: Pink cheeks
Colour a small pink cheek under each eye, just past each end of the smile.
Step 9: Light blue puddle
Colour the puddle light blue.
Step 10: Blue drops
Colour all 3 drops blue, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Go over your lines!
