How to Draw Wind
Draw wind in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cloud top.
Step 1: The cloud top
Start low on the left. Draw a round end, 3 big bumps, a round end. Stop low on the right.
Step 2: The cloud bottom
Start where the top ended. Draw a gentle curve along the bottom. Stop where the top began.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Just below the middle of the cloud draw 2 big eggy eyes. Put a black dot in each.
Step 4: Blowing mouth
Under the eyes draw a small round O mouth, like it is blowing. Add a puffed cheek beside each eye.
Step 5: First gust
Start on the cloud's right side, level with the eyes. Draw a long line out, ending in a curl.
Tip Wind lines curl at the ends, like a snail shell.
Step 6: Second gust
Start a little lower on the cloud. Draw another long line swooping down to the right, ending in a curl.
Step 7: Third gust
Start low on the cloud. Draw a shorter line that swoops down to the right and ends in a curl.
Step 8: Two leaves
Draw 2 little pointed leaves with a curved line inside, one above the top gust and one under the cloud.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a sparkle star in the bottom left corner and one in the top right corner.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink. Leave the cloud and eyes white.
Step 11: Green leaves
Colour the 2 leaves green, and the wind is blowing!
