How to Draw Rain Boots
Draw rain boots in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the front boot.
Step 1: The front boot
Below the middle draw a tall boot facing left: round toe, ankle dip, tall straight leg, flat top.
Tip Rain boots are tall and smooth: the leg is more than half the height.
Step 2: Fat sole
Under the boot draw a fat sole, a finger thick, from the toe along the bottom, rounding the heel.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the boot's leg, below the top, draw 2 big egg eyes, with a black dot and shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye. Add a tiny flat cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Top band
Across the boot's top draw a flat band a finger thick, front to back, for the rolled top.
Step 6: The back boot
Behind the first boot, up and right, draw a second boot the same way, just the parts peeking out.
Tip Its toe, leg, top band and heel sole peek out; the rest hides.
Step 7: Strap and buckle
Low on the leg, below the face, draw a small square buckle and a flat strap to the back edge.
Tip Give the buckle a line down its middle.
Step 8: Treads and puddle
Draw 5 short tread lines across the sole. Under the boots draw a long flat puddle poking out both sides.
Step 9: Raindrops
Draw 7 little teardrops falling around the boots, pointy ends up.
Step 10: Yellow boots, pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour both boots yellow and the cheeks pink, leaving the eyes white.
Step 11: Blue puddle and drops
Colour the puddle and the raindrops blue.
Step 12: Navy soles and bands
Colour the soles, top bands, strap and buckle navy, and your rain boots are ready to splash!
