How to Draw a Radish
Draw a radish in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bulb.
Step 1: The bulb
A little below the middle draw a big round bulb as big as your fist, a bit wider than tall.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the bulb draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Tip Leave a clear gap round each eye.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Three stems
From the bulb top draw 3 stems, thinner at the top: one straight up, one curving out each side.
Tip Rub out the bulb line inside the stems.
Step 5: Three leaves
On the end of each stem draw a big rounded leaf like a fat almond, with a pointed tip.
Step 6: Leaf veins
Draw one line up the middle of each leaf, from the stem end to near the tip.
Step 7: Thin root
From low on the bulb's right, draw a thin root that droops to a point level with the bottom.
Tip Thin like a string.
Step 8: White bottom
Under the cheeks draw one shallow curve across the bulb from edge to edge, bowing down.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a ground line from left to right, just touching the bottom of the bulb and the root tip.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: White bottom, green leaves
Leave the bulb white under the curve, and the root white. Colour the leaves and stems green.
Step 12: Red top
Colour the bulb red above the curve, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your radish is done!
