How to Draw a Crepe

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a crepe in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a round plate.

Print

  1. Step 1: A round plate

Draw a big squashed circle for the plate. Draw another one just inside it for the rim.

  2. Step 2: The crepe fan

Inside the rim, draw a fan: a point at the bottom left, 2 straight sides and a wavy round edge.

  3. Step 3: Folded layers

Draw 2 thin strips under the bottom straight side. Start at the point, stop at the wavy edge.

Tip A crepe is a thin pancake folded into 4, so its edge shows the layers.

  4. Step 4: Whipped cream

In the middle of the crepe, draw a soft pile of cream with a curly tip and a line across.

  5. Step 5: Strawberry halves

Draw 2 strawberry halves beside the cream: round hearts with the point down, each with a small white heart inside.

  6. Step 6: Leaf caps

On top of each strawberry, draw a little leaf cap with 3 soft points hanging down.

  7. Step 7: The table

Draw a long table line under the plate, just touching its bottom.

  8. Step 8: Golden crepe

Go over your lines. Colour the crepe golden sand, around the cream and strawberries. Leave the cream white.

  9. Step 9: Sky plate

Colour the plate sky blue, around the crepe.

  10. Step 10: Red strawberries

Colour the strawberries red, around their leaf caps and white middles.

  11. Step 11: Green caps

Colour the leaf caps green, and your crepe is done!
