How to Draw a Purse
Draw a purse in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flap.
Step 1: The flap
Just above the middle draw the flap: a wide shape with rounded bottom corners, like a wide tongue.
Step 2: The bag
Start at the flap's bottom left corner. Draw a bag swelling out and down, back up to the right corner.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
On the bag under the flap draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 5: The handle
Start on the left of the flap. Draw a big rainbow up and over, stop on the flap's right.
Step 6: The clasp
On the middle of the flap's bottom edge draw a small round clasp.
Step 7: Stitch line
Start under the flap's top left corner. Draw a thin U stitch above the clasp, stop under the right corner.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 2 sparkle stars, one on each side of the handle, at the same height.
Step 9: Floor and shadow
Draw a floor line from far left to far right, and a thin oval shadow under the bag.
Step 10: Yellow clasp, pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the clasp and the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Grey shadow, red bag
Colour the shadow grey. Colour the flap and bag red, going around the face and clasp. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Brown handle
Colour the handle brown. Your purse is done!
