How to Draw a Pumpkin Vine
Draw a pumpkin vine in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: middle bump.
Step 1: Middle bump
On the right half, draw a tall egg standing up, as tall as your thumb.
Step 2: Fat side bumps
Start at the egg's top. Draw a fat bump hugging each side and stop at the bottom. Add a stem.
Step 3: Slim outer bumps
Start on each fat bump near the top. Draw a slimmer bump outside it and stop near the bottom.
Step 4: The vine
Start on the stem's left. Draw a vine, getting thinner, curving left and down level with the pumpkin's bottom.
Tip Keep the bends gentle, like a soft rope.
Step 5: Big leaf
On the vine by the pumpkin, draw a big heart leaf standing up, point at the top. Add a vein.
Step 6: Two more leaves
From the stem's right, draw a stalk up to a heart leaf. Add another on the vine's left. Add veins.
Step 7: Curly tendrils
Off the vine, draw 3 curly tendrils: one under it, one between the leaves and one where it bends down.
Step 8: Baby pumpkin
Under the vine, draw a small egg with a stem. Bump out each side twice, from top down to bottom.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a long ground line from edge to edge under both pumpkins. Add 3 tufts of grass along it.
Step 10: Orange pumpkins
Colour both pumpkins orange, leaving a little white shine on the big one.
Step 11: Green vine and leaves
Colour the vine, both stems and all 3 leaves green. Go over your lines and your pumpkin vine is done!
