How to Draw an Easter Lily
Draw an Easter lily in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the trumpet mouth.
Step 1: The trumpet mouth
In the top third, draw a flat oval, about 2 fingers wide. This is the mouth of the trumpet.
Step 2: Two side petals
From each end of the oval, draw a long pointed petal going out sideways. Let the tip droop a little.
Step 3: Two top petals
From the top of the oval, draw 2 pointed petals going up, like a V. Curl the tips outwards.
Step 4: Two front petals
From the bottom of the oval, draw 2 pointed petals going down and out. Curl the tips outwards.
Tip Now there are 6 petals, like a star.
Step 5: The trumpet
Under the flower, draw 2 lines curving in to make a long trumpet. Join them with a short line.
Tip Wide at the flower, narrow at the bottom.
Step 6: Five stamens
Inside the oval, draw 5 thin lines fanning up from the bottom. Put a tiny oval on each tip.
Step 7: Petal lines
Draw 1 line along the middle of each petal. Start near the oval and stop before the tip.
Step 8: The stem
From the bottom of the trumpet, draw 2 lines straight down for a long thin stem.
Step 9: Long leaves
Draw 2 long thin leaves on each side of the stem. They sweep up and out to a point.
Step 10: Leaf veins
Start at the stem end of each leaf. Draw 1 line along its middle, stopping before the tip.
Step 11: The ground
Start near the left edge. Draw a ground line under the stem, and stop near the right edge.
Step 12: Yellow tips
Colour the 5 tiny ovals yellow. Leave the petals and the trumpet white.
Step 13: Green stem, leaves
Go over your lines. Colour the stem, the 4 leaves and the inside of the oval green.
