How to Draw Photosynthesis
Draw photosynthesis in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: soil mound.
Step 1: Soil mound
Near the bottom, start on the left. Draw a soft hill up and over and stop on the right.
Tip Leave the top left corner free for the sun.
Step 2: The stem
Start on the mound. Draw 2 lines up to above the middle, wide at the bottom, close at the top.
Step 3: Two big leaves
Start halfway up the stem, left side. Draw a big round leaf, stopping on the stem. Do the right too.
Step 4: Leaf veins
Start on the stem in the middle of each leaf. Draw one curved vein and stop before the tip.
Step 5: A tiny bud
On the very top of the stem draw 2 tiny pointy leaves like a little V.
Step 6: Ground and grass
Start at the bottom of the mound on each side. Draw a ground line to the edge. Add grass.
Step 7: Roots and water
Inside the mound draw wiggly roots down from the stem, branching out. Add a water drop on each side.
Step 8: The sun
Near the top left corner, draw a sun with short rays all round. Leave a gap at the bottom right.
Step 9: Light arrow
From the sun draw a fat arrow pointing down at the left leaf. Sunlight goes into the leaf.
Step 10: Air bubbles
Above the right leaf draw 3 bubbles floating up and a small arrow pointing up. The leaf breathes out air.
Step 11: Yellow and sky blue
Colour the sun and the light arrow yellow. Colour the bubbles and the up arrow sky blue.
Step 12: Green plant, blue drops
Colour the leaves, bud and stem green. Colour the water drops blue.
Step 13: Brown soil
Colour the soil brown, going around the roots and drops. Your picture is done.
