How to Draw Grilled Cheese
Draw grilled cheese in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top slice.
Step 1: Top slice
A little above the middle draw a wide, flat slice of toast with 2 soft bumps along the top.
Tip Keep it much wider than it is tall: the toast is lying down.
Step 2: Thick edge
From each bottom corner of the toast draw a short line down, then join them along the bottom.
Step 3: Melted cheese
Start on the thick edge's left side. Draw gooey cheese under it, bulging past both sides, stop on the right.
Step 4: Melty drips
Hang 3 round drips off the cheese: start on its edge, go down and round, back up to the edge.
Step 5: Bottom slice
Start under the cheese on the left. Draw the bottom slice's thick edge: down, across and up to the cheese.
Step 6: Grill marks
On the top slice draw 3 slanted grill marks, all leaning the same way.
Step 7: A plate
Start at the left cheese bulge. Draw a flat oval round under the sandwich, stopping at the right bulge.
Step 8: Steam
Above the toast draw 3 short wiggly steam lines going up, like little S shapes.
Step 9: Yellow cheese
Go over your lines, then colour the melted cheese and its 3 drips yellow.
Step 10: Tan toast
Colour the toast tan: the top slice, its thick edge and the bottom slice, around the cheese.
Step 11: Sky blue plate
Colour the plate sky blue, around the sandwich. Your grilled cheese is ready!
