How to Draw a Pumpkin in a Wagon
Draw a pumpkin in a wagon in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
Below the middle draw a long box with soft corners. Its side walls lean out a little.
Step 2: The rim
Start on the left wall, a finger below the top. Draw a line straight across to the right wall.
Step 3: The big pumpkin
Draw a tall bump with a dip on top. Start a C each side on it, stop at the rim.
Tip Only the top half of each pumpkin shows above the rim.
Step 4: Two smaller pumpkins
Each side draw a smaller bump behind the big pumpkin. Start an outer C on it, stop at the rim.
Step 5: Stems and a leaf
On each dip draw a short stem, then give the big stem a pointed leaf with a vein.
Step 6: The handle
From the bottom left corner draw a long handle slanting up left, with a T grip on the end.
Tip Make it a little longer than the box is tall.
Step 7: Wheels
Under the box draw 2 wheels with nut circles. From the box slant 2 lines down to each wheel.
Tip One wheel near the front, one near the back; the lines stop behind them.
Step 8: A big star
In the middle of the box side draw one big star with 5 points.
Tip Think of the star as a fat little man: head, 2 arms, 2 legs.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a long ground line touching the bottom of both wheels, from the handle's end to past the box.
Step 10: Yellow star, orange pumpkins
Go over your lines, then colour the star yellow and all three pumpkins orange, stopping at the rim.
Step 11: Wood rim, green stems
Colour the rim band wood brown, and the stems and the leaf green.
Step 12: Red box
Colour the box red, going around the star.
Step 13: Grey nuts, black wheels
Colour the axle nuts grey. Colour the wheels black around them, and the handle and grip black too.
