How to Draw a Headband
Draw a headband in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the band.
Step 1: The band
Start low on the left. Draw a big rainbow over the top. Stop low on the right.
Tip Leave room above it for a bow.
Step 2: Inner band
Start at the left end. Curl round, draw a smaller rainbow inside, and stop at the right end.
Tip Make the band a little thinner near the tips.
Step 3: Bow knot
At the very top, draw a small rounded box over the band for the knot of the bow.
Step 4: Bow loops
From each side of the knot, draw a big puffy loop out and back, wider at the far end.
Tip Make both loops the same size.
Step 5: Bow folds
Inside each loop, draw 2 short lines fanning out from the knot.
Step 6: Dots
In the middle of the band, draw 3 small circles down each side.
Step 7: Sparkles
Beside each bow loop, draw a little 4-point sparkle with space all round it.
Step 8: Yellow dots
Colour the 6 dots and the 2 sparkles yellow.
Step 9: Pink bow
Colour the knot and both loops of the bow pink.
Step 10: Purple band
Colour the band purple, around the yellow dots. Go over your lines and your headband is done!
