How to Draw a Dancing Pose
Draw a dancing pose in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room on both sides for the arms and the kicking leg.
Step 2: Face
Draw 2 round eyes with black dots and a tiny lash on each. Add a nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Hair and bun
Draw the hair over the top of the head with a curved fringe. Add a round bun on top.
Step 4: Neck and dress
Add 2 neck lines under the chin. From one, draw a short-sleeved dress round to the other. Add a belt.
Step 5: Arms up
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines up and out like a V, stopping at a thin wrist.
Step 6: Hands in the air
On each wrist, draw a round hand with a small thumb, from one arm line across to the other.
Step 7: Standing leg
Start at the hem, left of the middle. Draw 2 lines down to a thin ankle. Add a round shoe.
Step 8: Kicking leg
From the hem, draw the other leg kicking out, bent a little at the knee. Add a shoe pointing up.
Step 9: Music notes and ground
Draw a music note on each side: a small circle with a line and a flag. Add a ground line.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, peach skin
Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow belt, red dress
Colour the belt yellow. Colour the dress red around it.
Step 12: Black hair and shoes
Colour the hair, bun, shoes and music notes black. Go over your lines and your dancer is done.
