How to Draw a Princess
Draw a princess in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room above for the crown and most of the page below for the gown.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 round eyes with black dots and a tiny eyelash each. Add a U nose, a smile, and eyebrows.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
Draw the hair hugging the head, a finger above the head line, with a fringe across the forehead.
Step 4: The crown
On top of the hair draw a crown with 3 tall points and a curved bottom. Add a round jewel.
Tip The middle point is the tallest.
Step 5: Neck and ball gown
From the chin draw 2 neck lines down to puffy sleeves. Draw a wide bell skirt down to the floor.
Tip The skirt is much wider than the shoulders.
Step 6: Sash and frill
Draw 2 sash lines across the waist. Draw 1 long line across the skirt near the bottom for a frill.
Step 7: Bent arms
From each sleeve draw an arm bent at the elbow, getting thinner as it reaches in to the wrist.
Step 8: Hands
On each wrist draw a round hand. The hands nearly touch in the middle, held in front of the gown.
Step 9: Long hair
Start beside each eyebrow. Draw long hair curving down and out, and stop behind each elbow.
Tip Both sides match, like curtains behind her shoulders.
Step 10: Ground
Along the bottom of the gown draw a long ground line that sticks out past both sides.
Step 11: Yellow crown
Colour the crown yellow and its jewel pink.
Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, neck, arms and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Pink gown, purple sash
Colour the gown pink, around the arms and hands. Colour the sash and the frill purple.
Step 14: Brown hair
Colour all the hair brown, around the crown and the face. Go over your lines and your princess is done.
