How to Draw a King on His Throne
Draw a king on his throne in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head. Leave room below for the robe and throne.
Step 2: The face
On the head, draw 2 big round eyes with black dots. Add a tiny U nose and a smile.
Step 3: Beard and moustache
Under the nose, draw a moustache of 2 fat leaves. Draw a big U beard from cheek to cheek.
Step 4: A golden crown
On the head, draw a zigzag crown from side to side. Put a tiny ball on each point.
Step 5: The robe
From one side of the beard, draw a robe with long sleeves and a flat bottom, to the other side.
Step 6: Sleeves and belt
From each shoulder, draw a line down to the bottom of the robe. Add a belt of 2 lines across.
Step 7: Knees and legs
Under the robe, draw 2 legs, wide at the knees and thin at the ankles. Leave a gap between them.
Tip Each leg is like a long carrot: fat at the knee, thin at the ankle.
Step 8: Mitten hands
At the bottom of each sleeve, draw a round mitten hand on the knee, with a thumb bump pointing in.
Step 9: Shoes and ground
Under each leg, draw a rounded shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 10: The throne
Behind him, draw a tall peaked back, seat and armrests. Add 2 legs from the seat down to the ground.
Step 11: Peach face, yellow crown
Colour the face and hands peach, and the crown and belt yellow. Leave the eyes and beard white.
Step 12: Purple robe
Colour the robe, sleeves and legs purple, around the belt and hands.
Step 13: Brown throne
Colour the throne and shoes brown, around the king. Go over your lines and your king is done.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a king on his throne, drawn by you.
