How to Draw a Pot Pie
Draw a pot pie in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
In the middle of your paper draw a wide flat oval. That is the top of the dish.
Step 2: The dish
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw down, round the bottom and up to the right end.
Step 3: The crust
Start at the left end of the rim. Draw little bumps up and over, and stop at the right end.
Tip Puffy and golden, like a bread roof.
Step 4: Crimped edge
Start at the left end of the rim. Draw little bumps along the front, stopping at the right end.
Step 5: Three slits
Draw 3 short slanted slits on top of the crust.
Step 6: A stripe
Start on the left side of the dish, under the rim. Draw a bowed stripe across to the right side.
Step 7: Steam
Above the crust draw 3 wiggly steam lines going up.
Step 8: The table
Draw a long line under the dish, just touching its bottom.
Step 9: Tan crimps
Go over your lines. Colour the little bumps along the rim tan.
Step 10: Orange crust
Colour the rest of the crust orange, around the tan bumps.
Step 11: White dish, blue stripe
Leave the dish white. Colour the band between the stripe and the rim blue. Your pot pie is done!
