How to Draw a Popcorn Cart
Draw a popcorn cart in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
Just below the middle draw a long box, 3 times wider than tall, slightly wider at the top.
Tip Like a tray. Round the corners softly.
Step 2: The rim
Start on the left side, a finger under the top. Draw one line across to the right side.
Step 3: The handle
From the box's bottom-left corner draw a long thin pole slanting up left. Put a short bar across its end.
Step 4: The glass cabinet
Start at the box's top-left corner. Draw a tall upside-down U and stop at the top-right corner.
Step 5: Striped canopy
Over the glass draw a wide roof with 5 round bumps along its bottom. Add 4 stripe lines down it.
Step 6: The popcorn heap
Start on the left wall, draw round popcorn bumps over to the right wall. Add 3 puffs above, 3 inside.
Step 7: Two fat wheels
Under the box draw 2 big round wheels, one at each end, with a small circle in each.
Step 8: Wheel posts
Start on the box bottom beside each wheel. Draw a short line slanting down until it meets the wheel.
Step 9: The ground
Start left of the handle. Draw a straight line touching both wheels, and stop right of the cart.
Step 10: Cream popcorn, sky glass
Colour all the popcorn and puffs cream. Colour the glass sky blue around them, very lightly.
Step 11: Red box and stripes
Colour the rim band wood brown. Colour the box, and the end and middle canopy stripes, red.
Tip Leave the other 2 stripes white.
Step 12: Grey posts, black wheels
Colour the posts, handle and wheel middles grey. Colour the wheels black around them. Your popcorn cart is done!
