How to Draw Dental Floss
Draw dental floss in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
Low on the left, draw a big rounded box. Near its top draw a flat U from side to side.
Tip Dental floss lives in a little box with a spool of thread inside.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Below the U, draw 2 big egg eyes on the box. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The open lid
Start at the box's top left corner. Draw the open lid up, across and down to its top right corner.
Step 5: The spool
Above the U draw a wide flat oval for the spool of floss, with a tiny oval in its middle.
Step 6: The cutter
Where the U meets the right side of the box, draw a small box sticking out for the metal cutter.
Step 7: A big tooth
Right of the box, draw a big tooth: a bumpy top and 2 round roots level with the box bottom.
Step 8: The floss thread
Start at the cutter. Draw a thin thread up and over, stopping in the dip on the tooth.
Step 9: Ground and sparkles
Draw a ground line under the box and tooth from left to right, and 2 small sparkles in the air.
Step 10: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Sky spool, grey cutter
Colour the spool sky blue and the cutter grey.
Step 12: Teal box, white lid
Colour the box teal around the spool, cutter and cheeks. Leave the eyes, the lid and the tooth white.
