How to Draw a Poodle
Draw a poodle in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big soft head.
Step 1: Big soft head
Near the top, draw a big soft egg head, a little flat on top and fuller at the cheeks.
Step 2: Pom crown and ears
Start and stop on the head's upper sides. Draw a big bumpy pom over the top. Hang 2 fluffy ears.
Tip Rub out the head line inside the pom.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the head, draw 2 eggy eyes with black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Muzzle and nose
Under the eyes, draw a wide oval muzzle inside the head. Sit a black triangle nose on top of it.
Step 5: Smile and tongue
From the nose point, draw a short line down to a little w smile. Hang a small U tongue.
Step 6: The body
Start under each ear. Draw a big C down to near the bottom. Join the ends.
Step 7: Collar and tag
Under the chin, draw 2 sagging curves from the left side across to the right. Hang a small circle tag.
Step 8: Front legs
From the collar, draw 2 long legs down to round paws. Give each a fluffy ankle pom and 2 toes.
Step 9: Back paws and tail
At each bottom corner, draw a hill paw with 2 toes. Add a short tail with a fluffy ball.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a long ground line across under all 4 paws.
Step 11: Colour the fur cream
Colour the head, ears, body, legs, paws, tail and poms cream. Leave the eyes, collar, tag and tongue white.
Step 12: Yellow tag
Colour the tag yellow.
Step 13: Pink collar and tongue
Colour the collar and the tongue pink.
