How to Draw a Bear in a Cave
Draw a bear in a cave in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
A little below the middle, draw the bear's head like an egg on its side, as wide as your thumb.
Tip Leave plenty of room all round: a cave goes around it.
Step 2: Round ears and tuft
On each top corner, draw a rainbow ear from the head line back to it. Add a tuft on top.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes. Add a black dot and white shine in each.
Step 4: Nose patch and nose
Under the eyes, draw a big wide oval low on the face. Add a round black nose on top.
Step 5: Smile and tongue
Start under the nose. Draw a short line down, then 2 smiles out to each side. Add a small tongue.
Step 6: Body and paws
From under each cheek, draw a soft pear body down to the ground. Add a round paw under each eye.
Step 7: The cave mouth
Start on the ground left of the bear. Draw a big wobbly arch high over it, down to the ground.
Step 8: The rock
Start on the ground near the left edge. Draw a huge lumpy rock over the cave, down to the right.
Step 9: Stones and cracks
Draw a small lumpy stone on the ground each side of the bear. Add a few zigzag cracks.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a ground line under everything, from past the left of the rock to past the right.
Step 11: Tan patch, pink tongue
Colour the nose patch and the inside of each ear tan. Colour the tongue pink.
Step 12: Grey rock, dark cave
Colour the rock and stones grey, and the inside of the cave dark grey, around the bear.
Step 13: Brown bear
Colour the head, ears, tuft, body and paws brown, around the tan patches. Leave the eyes white.
