How to Draw a Police Car
Draw a police car in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tyres and road.
Step 1: Tyres and road
Below the middle draw 2 big tyre circles, 3 tyres apart. From in front, draw a road line under both.
Step 2: Car outline
Start above the front tyre. Slant up the windscreen, over a flat roof, down the back, under to the start.
Tip Arch over each tyre. Flat roof, short steep back.
Step 3: Headlight face
On the nose draw a headlight eye with a shiny pupil, a smile under it and a pink cheek.
Tip Make the smile as wide as the eye.
Step 4: Light bar
Start on the roof. Draw a flat box up, across and down to the roof. Add 2 domed lights.
Tip Make it big. Round the tops like 2 thumbs.
Step 5: Windows
Inside the cabin draw 2 windows: a big front one and a small back one, with a thin post between.
Step 6: Door and handle
From both bottom corners of the front window, draw a line down to the car's bottom. Add a pill handle.
Step 7: Star badge
In the middle of the door draw a fat 5-point star. Start at the top point and go round.
Tip Make it big enough to colour.
Step 8: Tail light
Near the top of the back draw a small rounded box standing up, a finger inside the edge.
Step 9: Blue windows, yellow lights
Colour the windows sky blue with a white shine gap. Colour the headlight and star yellow.
Step 10: Red and blue lights
Colour the front dome of the light bar red and the back dome blue. Colour the tail light red too.
Step 11: Navy door, black tyres
Colour the wheel middles grey, then the tyres black around them. Colour the door navy around the star and handle.
Tip Dot each middle black. Leave the rest of the car white.
