How to Draw a Tricycle
Draw a tricycle in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big front wheel.
Step 1: Big front wheel
Low on the left of your paper, draw a BIG circle for the front wheel.
Step 2: Tyre, hub, pedal
Draw a smaller circle and hub in the big wheel. From the hub, draw a crank down to a pedal.
Step 3: Fork, clamp, stem
From the hub, draw a fork up past the wheel. Add a clamp, then a short pole above it.
Step 4: Handlebar and grips
On top of the pole, draw a flat handlebar. Add a fat round grip on each end.
Step 5: Frame and back wheel
From the clamp, draw a long bar sloping down to a small back wheel, with a second wheel peeking behind.
Tip The back wheel is less than half as tall as the front wheel.
Step 6: Bell and saddle
Draw a little bell on the handlebar. From the frame, draw a short post up to a fat pill saddle.
Step 7: Streamers
From the end of the right grip, draw 2 thin wavy streamers hanging down and back.
Step 8: Ground line
Draw a straight ground line touching the bottom of both wheels.
Step 9: Yellow and light grey
Colour the saddle and bell yellow. Colour inside each wheel light grey, but not the fork, hubs or pedal.
Step 10: Blue and red
Colour the grips and streamers blue. Colour the pole, clamp, fork, handlebar, frame and saddle post red.
Step 11: Dark grey tyres
Colour the tyres dark grey around the light grey, and the hubs and pedal too. Your tricycle is done!
