How to Draw a Polar Bear with Cub
Draw a polar bear with cub in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: mum's head.
Step 1: Mum's head
On the left, near the top, draw a big wide head. Add a small round ear on each top corner.
Tip Make the head wider at the cheeks than at the top. Leave room on the right for the cub.
Step 2: Mum's eyes
Across the middle of the head draw 2 oval eyes. Add a black dot and a white shine in each.
Step 3: Snout and nose
Under the eyes draw a wide oval snout. Draw a black nose at the top of it.
Step 4: Mum's smile
Draw a short line down from the nose. Curve a smile out to each side.
Step 5: Mum's body
Start under one cheek. Draw a big round body down to a flat bottom, and up to the other cheek.
Tip The body is wider than the head, and widest low down.
Step 6: Front legs
From under the chin draw 2 long legs, a little apart. End each in a round paw.
Step 7: Back paws
At each bottom corner draw a hill paw. Add 2 short toe lines on all 4 paws.
Step 8: Cub's head
Beside mum, lower down, draw a small round head. Add 2 little round ears.
Tip The top of the cub's head is level with mum's chin.
Step 9: Cub's eyes
Draw 2 small oval eyes on the cub. Add a black dot and a shine in each.
Step 10: Cub's snout
Under the cub's eyes draw a small oval snout, a black nose and a little smile.
Step 11: Cub's body
Start under one cheek. Draw a small round body down to a flat bottom, and up to the other cheek.
Step 12: Cub's legs
Draw 2 short front legs with round paws under the cub's chin. Add a hill paw at each bottom corner.
Step 13: Sheet of ice
Under both bears draw a long flat sheet of ice: a straight top line and a bumpy bottom.
Tip The bears sit right on the top line.
Step 14: Cream and blue
Colour both snouts cream. Colour the ice pale blue. Leave the fur and the eyes white.
