How to Draw a Baby Red Panda
Draw a baby red panda in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: very big head.
Step 1: Very big head
Near the top draw a very big round head, a little wider than tall.
Tip A baby has a huge head. Leave room on the right for the tail.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Draw 2 big egg eyes below the middle of the head. Add a black dot and a shine in each.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 3: Muzzle and smile
Draw an oval muzzle that hangs over the chin line. Add a black nose and a W smile under it.
Tip Rub out the chin line inside the oval.
Step 4: White-edged ears
On each top corner of the head draw a rounded ear with a smaller ear inside it.
Step 5: Tear stripes
Start under each eye. Draw 2 lines down, side by side, that curve in to the muzzle.
Step 6: Cheeks and brows
From the side of each eye draw a curved line out to the head line. Add 2 oval brows.
Step 7: Small body
Start under the left cheek. Draw a small tub body down to the ground and up to the right cheek.
Tip The body is a little narrower than the head.
Step 8: Short arms
Under the chin draw 2 short fat arms that lean in. Add 2 toe lines to each paw.
Step 9: Back feet
On each bottom corner of the body draw a round foot, flat on the ground, with 2 toe lines.
Step 10: Thick tail
From behind the right foot draw a fat tail along the ground. Curl it up to a round tip.
Tip Keep it as fat as an arm all the way.
Step 11: Rings and ground
Draw 5 curved lines across the tail, from edge to edge. Add a long ground line.
Step 12: Rust fur
Colour the top of the head, the ear middles, the body and every other tail ring rust orange.
Tip Leave the ear edges, brows, cheeks and muzzle white.
Step 13: Dark brown
Colour the tear stripes, arms, feet and the other tail rings dark brown. Your cub is done!
