How to Draw a Quince
Draw a quince in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the fruit.
Step 1: The fruit
In the middle draw a big fat pear shape, round at the bottom, with 2 soft bumps on top.
Tip A quince is a lumpy yellow fruit, a cousin of the pear and the apple.
Step 2: The stem
From the dip at the top draw a short thick stem of two lines going up, leaning a little right.
Step 3: A leaf
From the stem tip draw a fat leaf pointing up to the right, with a bowed line down its middle.
Step 4: A lump line
Just below the right bump on top, draw a short bowed lump line down the shoulder.
Step 5: A shine
Inside the upper left of the fruit, draw a short curved shine with round ends, like a tiny bean.
Step 6: The ground
Draw a ground line under the fruit that just touches its bottom, from well left of it to well right.
Step 7: A shadow
Under the fruit, on the ground line, draw a flat oval wider than its bottom. Rub out the line inside.
Step 8: Yellow quince
Go over your lines, then colour the fruit yellow, leaving the shine white.
Step 9: Green leaf
Colour the leaf green.
Step 10: Brown stem, grey shadow
Colour the stem brown and the shadow grey.
