How to Draw a Plum Blossom
Draw a plum blossom in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the branch.
Step 1: The branch
Low on the left, draw a branch with a wide foot, bending up to the top right and getting thin.
Tip Thick at the bottom and thin at the tip, like a little tree.
Step 2: A side twig
From the bend in the middle of the branch, draw a thinner twig going out to the right and up.
Step 3: The first blossom
Low on the left of the branch, draw a round blossom: 5 round bumps round a tiny circle.
Step 4: The top blossom
Near the top of the branch, on its left, draw a bigger blossom the same way.
Step 5: Two more blossoms
On the side twig, draw one blossom near its end and a smaller one between the twig and the branch.
Step 6: Little dots
In the 2 biggest blossoms, draw 5 tiny dots round the middle circle, one on each petal.
Step 7: More dots
Do the same in the 2 smaller blossoms.
Step 8: Buds
Draw a round bud on each tip. Low on the left of the branch, add one on a tiny stalk.
Step 9: The ground
Start near the left edge. Draw a soft ground line under the branch's foot, stopping near the right edge.
Step 10: Yellow middles
Go over your lines, then colour the middle circles and the little dots yellow.
Step 11: Pink blossoms
Colour all 4 blossoms and the 3 buds pink, around the yellow middles and dots.
Step 12: Brown branch
Colour the branch, the twig and the bud stalk brown. Your plum blossom is done!
