How to Draw a Playing Card
Draw a playing card in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the card.
Step 1: The card
In the middle of your paper draw a tall rectangle with rounded corners, twice as tall as it is wide.
Tip Tall and neat, like a door.
Step 2: A big heart
In the middle of the card draw a big heart. Start at the top dip and end at the dip.
Step 3: A happy face
Draw 2 big eyes in the heart and a cheek under each. Draw a U smile between the cheeks.
Step 4: The border
Inside the card draw a second rounded rectangle a finger in from the edge.
Step 5: Top corner
In the top left corner draw a letter A. Under it draw a tiny heart.
Step 6: Bottom corner
In the bottom right corner draw an upside-down A, and an upside-down tiny heart above it.
Step 7: A card behind
Behind the card draw a second card peeking out, tilted a little to the left.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars in the corners of the paper. Each one has 4 points like a plus sign.
Step 9: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Red hearts
Colour the big heart and the 2 tiny hearts red, around the face. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Blue card
Colour the card behind blue. Your playing card is done!
