How to Draw a Pitchfork
Draw a pitchfork in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head bar.
Step 1: The head bar
Start below the middle on the left. Draw a slim bar arching over, stopping just as low on the right.
Tip Leave both ends open: the outside prongs carry on from them.
Step 2: 4 long prongs
Draw 4 long straight prongs down to points: 2 from the bar's open ends and 2 under the bar.
Tip The prongs are much longer than the bar is tall.
Step 3: The long handle
Start on the middle of the bar. Draw a thin handle up to near the top and back down.
Step 4: The socket
Where the handle meets the bar draw a small box a little wider than the handle, sitting on the bar.
Step 5: Wood grain
On the handle draw 2 short lines going up, one near the top and one in the middle.
Step 6: Ground and hay
Draw a ground line under the prong points. On each side add 2 small hay tufts of 3 soft blades.
Step 7: Sparkles
Draw 2 sparkle stars beside the handle, one on each side.
Step 8: Yellow hay
Go over your lines, then colour the hay and the sparkles yellow.
Step 9: Grey metal
Colour the bar, the prongs and the socket grey.
Step 10: Wood handle
Colour the handle wood brown. Your pitchfork is ready for the hay!
