How to Draw a Ukulele
Draw a ukulele in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
Below the middle draw the body like a fat figure 8 standing up, with the bottom lobe bigger.
Tip Two round lobes with a waist, like a peanut.
Step 2: The sound hole
In the middle of the top lobe draw a round sound hole.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the bottom lobe draw 2 big egg eyes, one each side, with a black dot and shine in each.
Tip Leave room above them for the bridge.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a small oval cheek below each eye.
Step 5: The neck
From the top of the body draw 2 close lines straight up for the neck, stopping a hand above.
Step 6: The head
Draw the head: start on the left neck line, step out, up and over, and stop on the right.
Step 7: Tuning pegs
On each side of the head draw 2 little round pegs sticking out on short lines.
Step 8: Frets and bridge
Draw 5 fret lines across the neck, evenly spaced. Add a short bridge bar between the hole and the eyes.
Step 9: Four strings
From the neck's top draw 4 long lines straight down to the bridge, jumping the hole.
Tip Close together and evenly spaced, like real strings.
Step 10: Notes and ground
Draw a music note floating each side: a small circle with a stem and flag. Add a ground line underneath.
Step 11: Tan body, pink cheeks
Colour the body tan and the cheeks pink, going around the sound hole. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Brown neck, black hole
Colour the neck and the head brown, and the sound hole black.
Step 13: Blue notes
Colour the notes blue. Go over your lines, and your ukulele is ready to strum!
