How to Draw a Desk Chair
Draw a desk chair in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: back rest.
Step 1: Back rest
Near the top draw a big soft box for the back rest, with a rounded top and a flat bottom.
Tip Leave room under it for the seat and the legs.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
On the back rest draw 2 big round eyes, a little apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving shines.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, eye to eye, and a little oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The seat
Under the back rest draw a long soft box seat, wider than the back rest, with a short neck between.
Step 5: The stem
From the middle of the seat draw a stem straight down, with a small round hub at the bottom.
Step 6: Spider legs
From the hub draw 4 thin legs spreading out and down to the floor, 2 each side.
Step 7: Wheels
On the end of each leg draw a small round wheel.
Step 8: The floor
Draw a long floor line from near one edge to near the other, touching the bottom of each wheel.
Step 9: Grey legs, pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the neck, stem, hub and legs grey, and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Blue chair
Colour the back rest and the seat blue, around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Black wheels
Colour the wheels black, and your desk chair is ready to spin!
