How to Draw Cowboy Boots
Draw cowboy boots in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the front boot.
Step 1: The front boot
Draw a boot facing left with a pointed toe. Start at the top front and stop at the top back.
Step 2: Heel and sole
Add a slanted heel under the back. Draw a sole line, starting at the toe and stopping at the back.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the boot's tall leg draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a black dot and a shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a flat oval cheek below each eye.
Step 5: V top and tabs
From the front corner draw a V, stopping at the back corner. Add a little tab on each side.
Step 6: The back boot
Start at the front corner. Draw the back boot peeking out, to its pointed toe. Stop on the front toe.
Step 7: Seam and toe cap
Draw a curve across both ankles, from the front to the back. Add a curved line near the toe.
Step 8: Fancy stitching
Start on the seam near the back. Draw a line up that curls into a swirl, for fancy stitching.
Step 9: Shadow and sparkles
Under the boots draw a flat oval shadow. Add 3 little sparkle stars around.
Step 10: Yellow and pink
Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Tan tops
Colour the tops of both boots and the tabs tan, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Wood heel, grey shadow
Colour the heel and the sole wood brown, and the shadow grey.
Step 13: Brown feet
Go over your lines. Colour the feet of both boots brown, around the soles. Your cowboy boots are done!
