How to Draw a Pinata
Draw a pinata in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big star.
Step 1: Big star
In the middle of the paper, draw one big fat 5-point star. Start at the top point and zigzag round.
Tip Big and fat: it fills the page.
Step 2: Middle circle
Draw a round circle in the middle of the star, covering the insides of the points.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the circle, draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye apart. Add big black dots with shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 5: Hanging tassels
Put a knot on each side and bottom point. Hang a tassel below, with 2 lines and 3 round ends.
Tip Rub out the star's tip inside each knot.
Step 6: The string
From near the top of the paper, draw one straight line down to the top point of the star.
Step 7: Paper fringe
Round the middle circle, draw a ring of soft bumps like a paper fringe. Rub out the star lines inside.
Step 8: Confetti
Round the pinata, draw falling confetti: 2 little dots and 2 tilted squares.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a sparkle star up on the left and another out on the right.
Step 10: Yellow middle
Go over your lines. Colour the middle and sparkles yellow, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Sky blue and pink
Colour the fringe and tassels sky blue. Colour the 5 star points pink, around the fringe and knots.
Step 12: Red cheeks and confetti
Colour the cheeks and confetti red. Your pinata is ready for the party!
