How to Draw a Paper Hat
Draw a paper hat in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big triangle.
Step 1: The big triangle
From near the top, draw a tall upside-down V. Stop both lines low down, at the same height.
Step 2: The brim band
Draw a flat band across the bottom, as wide as the V, over its ends. Rub out the lines inside.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the upper middle of the triangle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a black dot with a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a small U smile. Add a flat oval cheek beside each end of it.
Step 5: The tucked flap
Start on the band, a little in from the right corner. Slant a line up to the right side.
Step 6: Newspaper print
Under the face, draw 3 rows of short dashes like words, keeping clear of the edges and the flap.
Step 7: Band print
Along the middle of the band, draw a row of short dashes, stopping before each end.
Step 8: Ground line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a ground line under the band, stopping near the right edge.
Step 9: Cream paper
Colour the triangle and band cream, going around the flap and the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, sand flap
Colour the cheeks pink and the tucked flap sand. Your paper hat is done!
