How to Draw a Baseball
Draw a baseball in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.
Step 1: The ball
Below the middle of your paper, draw one big round ball, about half as tall as the page.
Step 2: Seams and stitches
On each side, start near the top. Draw a seam bowing in, stopping near the bottom. Add 4 V stitches.
Tip Keep the seams close to the sides so the face has room.
Step 3: Big eyes
Between the seams, below the middle, draw 2 big tall oval eyes with a small gap. Add dots and shines.
Step 4: Big grin
Start under the left eye. Draw a big U grin, stopping under the right eye.
Tip Make the grin big and deep: nearly as wide as both eyes together.
Step 5: Round cheeks
Add a round cheek at each end of the grin.
Step 6: The cap
Start left above the eyes. Draw a cap rainbow over the top, stopping on the right. Add a band below.
Step 7: The bill
Start at the cap's right end. Draw a long flat bill out right, round the tip, back to the ball.
Tip The bill is long and flat, poking well past the ball: a sideways cap.
Step 8: Button and panels
Put a little button on top of the cap. Draw 2 curves from the button down to the band.
Step 9: Ground
Draw one straight ground line across the page, just under the ball.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks pink, and keep the eyes white.
Step 11: Red cap
Colour the cap, its bill and the button red. Leave the ball white. Your baseball is done!
