How to Draw a Heart on Fire
Draw a heart on fire in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big heart.
Step 1: The big heart
In the lower half, draw a big heart: 2 round humps on top and a point at the bottom.
Tip Leave room above the heart for the flames.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Across the middle of the heart, draw 2 big egg eyes half an eye apart, with black dots.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile from the left eye to the right. Add cheeks at each end.
Step 4: Two side flames
On each side, start on the heart. Curve out and up to a point, then down a little and stop.
Tip Flames are fat at the bottom and pointy on top.
Step 5: Tall middle flame
Start where the left flame stops. Draw a tall flame up to a point and down to the right flame.
Tip Make the middle flame the tallest.
Step 6: Inner flame
Start on the left hump. Draw a smaller flame up to a point. Stop on the right hump.
Tip Keep the small flame clear of the big one all the way round.
Step 7: The shine
In the heart's left hump, draw a small tilted oval for a shine.
Step 8: Pink and yellow
Colour the cheeks pink and the inner flame yellow.
Step 9: Orange flames
Colour the big outer flames orange, around the yellow flame.
Step 10: Red heart
Colour the heart red around the pink cheeks, leaving the eyes and the shine white. Your heart is on fire!
