How to Draw a Pilot
Draw a pilot in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head. Leave room below for the body.
Step 2: The face
On the head, draw 2 small oval eyes with black dots. Add a tiny U nose and a smile.
Step 3: Peaked cap
On the head, draw a wide flat cap with a band and a curved visor. Add wings on the front.
Tip Draw a small circle in the middle, then a wing each side with 2 round feathers along the bottom.
Step 4: Neck, jacket, tie
Draw 2 neck lines. From them, draw round shoulders. Draw the jacket from armpit round to armpit. Add a tie.
Tip Leave a gap under each shoulder for a sleeve.
Step 5: Long sleeves
From each shoulder and armpit, draw a sleeve down to the wrist, bending softly at the elbow. Add a cuff.
Tip Leave the top of each sleeve open, so it grows right out of the shoulder.
Step 6: Mitten hands
At the bottom of each sleeve, draw a round mitten with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 7: Buttons and badge
Draw 2 buttons on each side of the middle. On the chest, add small wings with a circle between them.
Step 8: Trousers
Start on the hem, just in from the left corner. Draw 2 trouser legs, stopping just in from the right.
Step 9: Shoes and ground
Under each leg, draw a rounded shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck and hands peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes and the shirt white.
Step 11: Yellow wings and buttons
Colour both pairs of wings, their circles and the 4 buttons yellow.
Step 12: Navy uniform
Colour the cap top, jacket, sleeves and trousers navy. Go around the yellow, the white shirt and the tie.
Step 13: Black visor, tie, shoes
Colour the visor, tie and shoes black. Go over your lines and your pilot is done!
