How to Draw a Pile of Gold
Draw a pile of gold in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: bumpy heap.
Step 1: Bumpy heap
Start low on the left. Draw a big heap with round coin bumps over the top, down to the right.
Tip Each bump is the edge of a coin.
Step 2: Crown on top
On the very top of the heap, draw a crown with 3 points, sitting down in the coins.
Step 3: Coins on the heap
All over the front of the heap, draw 6 flat coin ovals, tipped different ways.
Step 4: Coin rims
Inside every coin, draw a smaller oval, so each coin has a rim.
Step 5: A gem
On the right of the heap, draw a gem: a flat top, a pointy bottom and a line across.
Step 6: Coin stacks
At each foot of the heap, draw a flat oval. From its ends, draw sides down to a round bottom.
Step 7: Stack lines
Across each stack, draw 2 curves from side to side, so it looks like 3 coins.
Step 8: Ground and loose coins
Draw a ground line from edge to edge. Add a flat loose coin with a rim beside each stack.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars in the air: 2 up high and 1 on the right. Each has 4 points.
Step 10: Yellow gold
Colour the heap, the middle of every coin, the stack tops and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Orange rims and crown
Colour every coin rim, the stack sides and the crown orange, around the yellow middles.
Step 12: Red gem
Colour the gem red. Your pile of gold is done!
