How to Draw a Gumball Machine
Draw a gumball machine in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the globe.
Step 1: The globe
A little above the middle of your paper, draw a big circle as big as your fist.
Step 2: Cap and knob
On top of the globe, draw a little dome cap, and a small round knob sitting on it.
Step 3: The collar
Under the globe, draw a short wide band: a line across, slanted lines down and out, and a line under.
Step 4: The body
Under the collar, draw a box with straight sides and round top corners, a little wider than the collar.
Step 5: The foot
Under the body, draw a wide flat base: a line across, slanted lines down and out, and a bottom line.
Step 6: Slot, dial and chute
On the body, draw a small slot, a round dial with a line across it, and an upside-down U below.
Step 7: Bottom gumballs
Inside the globe, draw a row of 3 small circles along the bottom, and 4 more above them.
Step 8: More gumballs
Draw 3 more circles above those, and 2 on top, filling the globe past the middle.
Step 9: A shine
On the upper left inside the globe, draw a thin slanted sliver for a shine on the glass.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a ground line under the foot from well left to well right.
Step 11: Yellow and grey
Colour 4 gumballs yellow, spread out like the picture, and the slot, dial and chute grey.
Step 12: Red machine
Colour the cap, knob, collar, body and foot red, around the grey slot, dial and chute.
Step 13: Red and blue gumballs
Colour 4 gumballs red and the last 4 blue. Leave the globe white. Your gumball machine is done!
