How to Draw a Notebook

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a notebook in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cover.

Print

  1. Step 1: The cover

Draw a box with soft corners in the middle of your paper, almost twice as tall as it is wide.

  2. Step 2: The spiral

Along the top edge draw 6 little upright ovals, evenly spaced, half above the edge and half below.

  3. Step 3: A happy face

In the middle draw 2 big eyes, each with a black dot and a shine. Add a U smile below.

  4. Step 4: The label

Above the face draw a small wide box with soft corners, not touching the sides.

  5. Step 5: Name lines

Start near the left of the label. Draw a line across to the right, and a shorter one under it.

  6. Step 6: Rosy cheeks

Draw a small oval cheek out beside each end of the smile.

  7. Step 7: A heart sticker

Low on the right draw a heart: start at the top dip, round and down to the point, and back.

  8. Step 8: Cream label, peach cheeks

Go over your lines, then colour the label cream and the cheeks peach.

  9. Step 9: Pink heart, grey rings

Colour the heart pink and the spiral rings grey.

  10. Step 10: Orange cover

Colour the cover orange, around the label, rings, cheeks and heart. Leave the eyes white. Your notebook is done!
